Leeds United’s hierarchy don’t have an issue with head coach Jesse Marsch’s frequent antics on the touchline.

That is according to Dean Jones, who was speaking to This is Futbol about the latest news from Elland Road.

Marsch found himself in hot water in Leeds’ last Premier League fixture, after getting sent off in the club’s 5-2 defeat at Brentford at the beginning of the month.

The American manager has been handed a one-game touchline ban following the incident, as well as being fined £10,000.

However, Jones believes that there are no issues with the former RB Leipzig manager’s behaviour on the touchline from the club’s hierarchy, believing that it just shows the passion he has for the Premier League club.

“No issue with it as far as I know, it’s a passionate club and shows just what it means to him.”

TIF Thoughts on Jones’ comments…

His antics have caused a lot of controversy as the likes of Dean Ashton and Gabby Agbonlahor have both called him out on it at different points.

Whilst we believe that there is nothing wrong with a manager showing passion on the touchline, we do believe that Marsch needs to calm down during the game, with the Leeds manager currently earning himself a reputation for his antics.

However, Marsch’s time at Elland Road has so far been a success and we therefore would encourage the former RB Salzburg manager to continue whatever is making his side relatively successful at the moment.

We therefore think that whilst Marsch needs to prevent himself from reacting in a way to earn himself another touchline ban, the Leeds boss will be hoping that he can continue the relative success he has achieved in his current role.
