Presenter Conor McGilligan has claimed that new Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra will be ‘hot property’ in the transfer market despite only having just joined the club.

This summer, the Premier League side paid Dutch outfit Feyenoord a reported fee in the region of £21m to land the Colombian on a five-year contract.

However, despite him only being at Leeds United for such a short period of time, it seems as though Sinisterra is already the subject of some more transfer speculation.

Indeed, according to Italian journalist Carlo Pellegatti (via TEAMtalk) AC Milan are looking at the Whites’ winger as a possible option should they lose Rafael Leao.

While speaking about the situation on the One Leeds Fan Channel, McGilligan tipped Sinisterra to be ‘hot property’ in the near future.

He explained (2:02): “According to reports already AC Milan are looking at the Colombian winger, even though he’s been at Leeds for two minutes, there are eyes on this guy.

“Apparently many clubs were chatting analysing and observing, you know, chatting to his agent observing Luis Sinisterra from afar when he was at Feyenoord. Obviously played in the Europa League final as well.

“So listen, he’s a player who was played on the same side, as well as Tyrell Malacia, who’s gone to Manchester United. So that left-hand side was exceptionally good for Feyenoord.

“And yeah, as I said he played the Europa League final, Sinisterra with those numbers that he put up last season, and the numbers that he’s already putting up at Leeds United, he is going to be a hot property.”

TIF thoughts on Luis Sinisterra and Leeds United…

With plenty of talk suggesting that Manchester City are keen on signing Leao from AC Milan, the Serie A club may indeed need a new winger soon.

And with three goals and one assist to his name already at Leeds after just 242 minutes of playing time, it’s not hard to see why Sinisterra might be catching the eye of some of Europe’s elite.

On top of that, he scored 23 goals and provided 14 assists in all competitions last season for Feyenoord, so plenty of teams have probably been tracking his progress for some time.

For now, with the transfer window shut, Leeds fans should be able to enjoy some of his fine displays, but these blossoming rumours may be cause for concern one day in the future.

Stupid story. Any player that scores goals and creates assists will attract interest…from any club. Victor did great in getting him in and on a five year deal. Keep him happy, climb the league, show ambition then why would he want a move if not just for the money?
