Journalist Will Jackson has praised Leeds United youngster Sonny Perkins as he scored yet another goal, although this time it was for his country.
Earlier this week, with domestic football on pause, the 18-year-old was handed his England U19s debut and even managed to score in the 2-0 win over Montenegro.
Incredibly, since the start of the season, that now means Perkins has netted in every Leeds U21 match – with six goals in five games – as well as now scoring his seventh in six games across all competitions after this England match.
Evidently impressed by the teenager, Jackson took to Twitter to express just how blown away he has been by the Leeds United talent.
Indeed, he said: “The man is a goal machine.”
TIF thoughts on Sonny Perkins and Leeds…
It seems as though Jackson wasn’t the only one to pick up on the player’s fine run of form, with Yorkshire Evening Post writer Lee Sobot also taking to Twitter to say ‘what a run’ Perkins has been on.
And before this, journalist Beren Cross was full of praise for the teenager too, as he noted the trademark left-foot finish Perkins had scored in a number of games so far this season.
All in all, seeing as he only arrived from West Ham United in the summer, it seems as though the 18-year-old is already making big waves at his new club, as well as now impressing for England at youth level.
He certainly looks like a top talent worth keeping an eye on.
