YouTuber Conor McGilligan has claimed that Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams may well be targeted in the transfer market if he keeps playing so well.

Over the past summer, the Whites spent a fee in the region of £20m to bring in the American from RB Leipzig to help replace the departing Kalvin Phillips.

It seems as though the 23-year-old has needed no time at all to slot into his new role and has been key for Leeds so far in the Premier League, playing 90 minutes in every game.

It seems as though he has also impressed McGilligan, who has now warned that rival teams may be keeping an eye on Adams’ progress ahead of a possible swoop in future transfer windows.

Indeed, while talking on the One Leeds Fan Channel, he said: “If Tyler Adams continues to have good performance, after good performance, after good performance, maybe other clubs are going to start looking at him. It’s going to be fascinating to see how this develops.”

TIF Thoughts on Tyler Adams and Leeds United…

Interestingly, it has been Luis Sinisterra who is attracting interest from AC Milan at this moment in time, so perhaps the Whites will have to worry about even more eyes on their players.

In the Premier League so far during his first six appearances in the English top flight, Adams has managed to average a 7.0 SofaScore match rating – which suggests just how consistent he has been this term.

On top of that, Adams is also a proven footballer at international level having played 32 times for the United States. And so, if he can play well at the World Cup, he could elevate his profile even higher.

Taking everything into account, we agree with McGilligan and believe that if he continues on this trajectory, Leeds may well have to field some transfer bids for Adams in the near future.

Better enjoy him while you can, LUFC fans!
