Joe Prince-Wright has tweeted out about how poor Leeds United’s Tyler Adams has performed for the USA national side.

It was a poor outing for the US national side as they were comfortably beaten by Japan 2-0 in Germany as they geared up for their first World Cup appearance in some time, although onlooking fans won’t have been impressed.

While the whole team seemingly underperformed given the scoreline, Prince-Wright picked out both Weston McKennie and Leeds’ Adams for their poor showings, something Whites fans will be hoping doesn’t come back with him to Elland Road.

Prince-Wright took to Twitter to let people know how poor Adams had been, as he tweeted out:

‘Well, in good news I don’t think Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie can possibly play any worse than this at the same time. So there’s that.’

Will Leeds finish in the top 10?

TIF Thoughts on Adams…

While it will be worrying for both Leeds fans and Jesse Marsch that Adams has gone away and performed so poorly, however, if he gets this poor performance out of his system before returning to England, all will be forgotten.

Adams has been one of the standout performers this season at Elland Road currently leading the way in touches, completed passes and successful pressures, with the American making the loss of Kalvin Phillips seem like a distant memory.

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

There was significant pressure on the shoulders of Adams heading into this season having cost Leeds £15 million, which puts him in their top 10 most-expensive signings ever, but also because of the Phillips void he had to fill and it seems as though he’s done so quite well given the Whites have only lost twice in the league and Adams has started every game which has eld to Marsch labelling him as ‘amazing’.
