Joe Wainman believes that Leeds United will have to at least triple Jack Harrison’s wages to keep him at the club.
Over the summer, Leeds lost both Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips and could have potentially also been Harrison leave the club had Newcastle United stumped up enough money with Leeds rejecting two bids.
Harrison has been a standout performer since making the jump up into the Premier League with Leeds managing to register 29 goal involvements since his debut in the top flight, so a new contract should certainly be on the horizon.
A new deal would likely put off potential suitors, but Wainman has claimed on his YouTube channel that Leeds will have to likely triple the winger’s wages.

“You’ve got the likes of Junior Firpo, Adam Forshaw, even youngster Joe Gelhardt all on more than him. Harrison is one of Marsch’s key players, so for me, he’d be looking at least tripling that, you’re talking £40-45k per week, at least I believe.”
TIF Thoughts on Harrison…
As things stand, Harrison has a contract that runs until the summer of 2024, so when this season comes to an end he will be entering the final 12 months which is not a situation Leeds will wish to find themselves in.
Harrison will seemingly have a lot of leverage over Leeds given his contractual situation, interest from other clubs such as Newcastle and the fact that he’s a consistent performer at this level ever since arriving.
Something that may well put Harrison off discussing a new deal is the fact that Leeds have not moved to do some earlier and instead have placed someone as inexperienced as Gelhardt, who’s started just four Premier League games on more money than him, according to Wainman, so he may well feel disrespected.
