According to Fabrizio Romano, Leeds United missed out on signing ‘underrated’ starlet Noa Lang this summer who was available for the club to sign.

After losing two of their top players this summer in Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, the Whites splashed the cash in the transfer window by bringing in the likes of Brenden Aaronson, Luis Sinisterra, Marc Roca, and Tyler Adams.

However, while they have bolstered their side, Romano recently claimed the Yorkshire side missed out on a big player in their list in Lang from Club Brugge, who has been described as ‘underrated’ by the insider.

Romano said on his YouTube channel, “Noa Lang a player really appreciate I think he’s really underrated. It’s true that Brugge already sold De Ketelaere to AC Milan but Noa Lang was available on the market he will be available in the future a transfer windows and so a really important and interesting opportunity.

“Noa Lang was missed this summer he was in the list for example for Leeds also other clubs around Europe were attacking him, especially in Italy. But now Noa Lang still available on the market after the whole summer so a missed opportunity”.

TIF Thoughts on Romano’s comments…

After losing Raphinha to Barcelona and the fitness concern around Patrick Bamford and now Rodrigo, Lang could have been the perfect signing for the club this summer for the future and as cover for their two stars.

So far this season he has started slow, picking up just one goal and one assist in his first six games, but last season is where he showed his capabilities as both a goalscorer and a creative talent as he grabbed nine goals and 15 assists in all competitions for the Belgian giants.

Romano also revealed the Dutchman could have been gotten for around the €20m to €25m, which is a bargain for a player with his ability and his potential at just 23. If he has another season like his 21/22 campaign, there is no doubt Leeds will have far more competition for his signature at a much higher price. They will regret not pushing for him.
