According to injury specialist Ben Dinnery, Leeds United star man Stuart Dallas is not likely to return anytime soon from his thigh injury with 2023 touted as the earliest time.

Despite their good work in the transfer window and their strong start to the season, the Yorkshire side will be hoping to all of their injured players back into the side, including the likes of Dallas, Junior Firpo and Liam Cooper to name a few.

While it looks like the latter two could be back very soon, according to Jesse Marsch. Dallas on the other hand has been out for a long time already after picking up the injury during their game with Manchester City toward the end of last season.

An official return date for the defender is yet to be announced, but in a recent appearance on the Premier FPL Injuries YouTube channel, Dinnery claimed Leeds fans could have to wait until next year to see Dallas back in the side.

He said: “Stuart Dallas is the only other problem we do not expect a return this year. So probably early 2023 for him.”

TIF Thoughts on Dallas’ return…

The 31-year-old versatile player has been hugely important for the Whites, picking up 267 appearances across all competitions with 28 goals and 19 assists. He has also played in a number of positions for the team, while recently spending most of his time at left and right-back, he has also featured heavily at left and right midfield and in central midfield occasionally.

However, with their recent stellar work in the transfer window which has seen the likes of Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Luis Sinisterra, and Tyler Adams to name a few, the importance of rushing Dallas back is not needed.

The club is going in a younger direction this season with all of the players they paid for coming in under 25 years old. Dallas could end up seeing himself as a rotation option upon his return, which will further help his recovery as he will not be starting, week in, week out as in previous seasons.

Will Dallas return before 2023?
