Rangers look set to receive a double fitness boost as Ryan Kent and James Sands were both spotted in training this week.

The duo both missed out on action over the past round of Scottish Premiership fixtures as the Gers claimed a 4-0 win over St Johnstone on Saturday.

However, this new footage suggests that they could be back and ready to feature for the Ibrox club later this week when they play PSV in a Champions League qualifier.

Indeed, in a video shared online by reporter Joshua Barrie, the pair can be spotted in training, with the journalist writing: “Ryan Kent and James Sands both taking part in training after missing the weekend’s game.”

TIF Thoughts on Ryan Kent, James Sands and Rangers...

Kent has already missed three games this season, while Sands has played four times in all competitions, only missing the win over the Saints.

Regardless, the pair will no doubt both be keen to get back to full fitness as soon as possible – especially with a key Champions League tie ahead.

And with Kent providing 20 assists in total last term and Sands called upon regularly in the latter stages of the run to the Europa League final, we feel both could come in handy against PSV.

Should Rangers win the tie, they would reach the competition’s group stage for the first time in 12 seasons. With that in mind, Giovanni van Bronckhorst will want his full team available to pick from, so getting Kent and Sands back would indeed be a big boost, so hopefully this video is a positive sign.
