Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph has hinted that Celtic’s summer business may well be over after they welcomed a total of seven new arrivals.

With the transfer window closing at the end of the month, the Scottish champions have welcomed Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Alexandra Bernabei, Daizen Maeda, Aaron Mooy, Benjamin Siegrist, and Moritz Jenz, as they hope to retain their Scottish Premiership crown.

Ange Postecoglou’s side got off to the perfect start last week, easing past Aberdeen 2-0. Next up for them is a trip to Ross County, where Celtic will hope to continue their good start to the campaign.

Speaking on the chances of any other Celtic business taking place this summer, Joseph said on the Celtic Exchange“It’s all very quiet at the moment and I think any names you see linked in the papers and things like that are very tenuous.”

TIF Thoughts on Celtic’s business…

The main aim for Celtic this summer should have always been signing Jota on a permanent deal. And, now in August, they can say that they’ve done just that, alongside making other loan deals permanent.

Last season, Jota managed to score 13 goals, and make a further 14 assists in all competitions in what was an incredibly impressive first campaign in Scotland. Now part of the side on a permanent basis, Jota will hope to improve on those numbers even more to enjoy what would be another excellent season.

Whether it is Jota with the goals, or others, however, Celtic will just hope to do enough to win the Scottish Premiership for the second consecutive season. Having seen their last era of dominance ended by Rangers in 2021, Celtic will hope to start another one this season.
