Talking Wolves presenter Dave Azzopardi has been left very excited with Wolves being strongly linked with Sasa Kalajdzic.

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Bruno Lage’s side are in ‘advanced’ negotiations with Stuttgart over a possible deal for the striker.

The article explains that Wolves are keen to pay £15m for the talented forward, but his current side are hoping for something in the region of €25m (£21.1m).

In response to this latest transfer talk, Azzopardi outlined his delight at the news, hyping up his ‘phenomenal record’ regarding his goal contributions.

Indeed, while speaking on the Talking Wolves podcast, the presenter said: “Fresh news today coming from very reputable sources in Germany – and some of the top journalists from around the world – that Wolves are in talks with Stuttgart from the Bundesliga for Sasa Kalajdzic, and he could be the newest striker for Wolves.

“Sasa Kalajdzic, who is a 6ft 7 striker, a very decent goalscoring record, great goal-contribution-to-game record as well. Struggled a little bit with injuries over the last few years, but when he’s remained fully fit, he’s got a phenomenal record.

“Not just on about a goalscorer here, we’re on about someone that is going to bring different players into play. He’s got a decent amount of assists to his name, he can drop in deep and find the pass.”

TIF thoughts on Sasa Kalajdzic and Wolves…

Considering he was also on Manchester United’s list of possible targets earlier this month, it’s fair to say Kalajdzic would represent a pretty exciting signing for Wolves.

It is also interesting that Azzopardi highlights the player’s ability to provide for teammates, too. So far this season, he has already claimed three assists in his first three games.

All in all, the potential to be a star in the Premier League certainly seems to be there. It just remains to be seen as to whether or not Wolves will meet the touted asking price for Kalajdzic.
