Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves has sent an Instagram message about loving his team amid talk of a possible summer exit.
Over the past few months, the Portuguese international has been linked with a move away from Molineux, with transfer insider Dean Jones even recently saying that he is baffled that the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, hasn’t been able to sort the player an exit yet.
On top of that, as reported in The Times, Neves is set to be offered a new £100,000-a-week contract, but it remains unclear as to whether or not he will sign the deal.
Despite all that going on, the 25-year-old recently took to social media to send a positive message about Wolves, following their loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
He wrote: “Love this team. We will be fine I’m sure.”
TIF thoughts on Ruben Neves and Wolves…
After that defeat against Spurs, Wolves now sit towards the bottom of the Premier League table with just one point from their opening three games.
With that in mind, fans may well be concerned about the state of their team. On top of that, according to reports, both Manchester United and Arsenal have held an interest in the player for some time now, and so Neves could have his head turned before the transfer window slams shut in just over a week.
However, in this latest message on Instagram, the midfielder seemed keen to ease any fears of a possible exit, expressing his love for the team while also saying how confident he is that this poor form will turn around.
It certainly seems as though he is still committed to the cause, which should bode well for his future with the club.
