Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White has reacted on Instagram to Conor Coady leaving the club.

Wolves have recently seen their club captain leave the club on loan as he has joined Everton for the 2022/23 season despite previously being a regular in the starting XI, after missing just one Premier League game in the last four seasons.

Coady did not start in the opening fixture of the Premier League on Saturday when Wolves lost against Leeds United, which was an indication that the English defender may not feature as regularly, with Bruno Lage incidentally opting for a change in formation compared to his first season in charge.

Gibbs-White is another Wolves player that has been heavily linked with an exit from Molineux this summer, with Everton and Nottingham Forest showing heavy interest in him.

However, after Coady announced that he had joined the Toffees on loan for the remainder of the season, Gibbs-White took to Instagram to express how sad he was that the England international had parted ways with the club.

He wrote: “Don’t even know where to start. Thank you for literally everything. Gonna miss you.”

TIF Thoughts on Gibbs-White’s comments…

Gibbs-White has two years remaining on his current contract with Wolves, but he has been reluctant to put pen to paper on a new deal that he has been offered, but he did end up playing the entire game in the opening fixture of the season, which could be a sign from Lage that he will be heavily involved if he stays.

However, if Forest do meet Wolves’ valuation of £40m for Gibbs-White, he may even end up pushed out the door himself. Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have both stated that they feel Wolves should let him go, especially if they are offered that amount.
