Journalist Ryan Taylor has claimed that Adama Traore looks to stay at Wolverhampton Wanderers in this summer transfer window.
There have been reports from 90min stating that Adama Traore wants to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers in this summer transfer window, and Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are interested in signing him.
Traore was of interest to Spurs in January, but he ended up at Barcelona where he failed to make a major impact, he featured 11 times in La Liga where he didn’t score a single goal and chipped in with just two assists.
Although there is some interest in Traore from other clubs, Taylor spoke to GiveMeSport and claimed that he still expects to stay at Wolves this summer ahead of next season.
“He’s in the final year of his contract. If they’re going to lose him for free, maybe they should look to cash in, but there’s not been much interest, which I’m very surprised at.
“Put him in any team in the Premier League, he will be effective. He might not be the finished article, but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone came in with a late move for him. But, at the moment, he still expects to stay at Wolves, but they will look to entertain bids if they do come,” Taylor said.

TIF Thoughts on Taylor’s comments…
This comes as a bit of a surprise as the winger was reportedly eyeing an exit not so long ago.
Traore was not in the best form last season for Barcelona and with him in the final 12 months of his contract, Wolves might look to cash in on him before the transfer window ends, but this could mean that they will accept a reduced price for him.
However, there have been rumours stating that Wolves are going to be switching to four at the back, which could accommodate Traore due to there being out-and-out wingers in that formation, so Bruno Lage might be inclined to keep him and see if he can be more effective in the new shape.
Not the finished article? if he ain’t by now he never will be.
