West Ham United could enjoy a busy end to the transfer window ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.

That is according to Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor, who was speaking to GiveMeSport about the Irons’ potential transfer business in the final days of the transfer window.

David Moyes has already welcomed eight new permanent additions to the London Stadium this summer, including the arrivals of Lyon and Brazil attacking midfielder Lucas Paquetá for an initial £36.5m and Italian striker Gianluca Scamacca in a £30.5m deal.

The club have spent over £160m on signings so far this summer, but with just days of the window remaining, the club could yet look to add more players to the squad.

And Taylor believes that the club are still looking to do more business before the window’s closure on 1st September.

He said: “I believe that West Ham will be incredibly active in the final days of the window.

“It’s clear they have several gaps in their squad.”

TIF Thoughts on Taylor’s comments…

It seems obvious that Moyes isn’t entirely satisfied with the east London side’s business this summer, due to the fact that the club are still being linked with a multitude of players, namely midfielders.

According to Voetbal Belgie, Club Brugge could accept a fee of £12.7m from West Ham for the services of midfielder Hans Vanaken, with the 30-year-old keen to move to the London Stadium this summer. Meanwhile, the Irons are constantly being mentioned in rumours regarding Chelsea and England midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Therefore, we are inclined to agree with Taylor that on the assumption that West Ham’s business has not been concluded, the club will likely look to make one or two more additions before the transfer deadline.
