ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham United are preparing to submit another offer for Hans Vanaken.

West Ham are interested in luring Vanaken to the Premier League this summer, and the Club Brugge midfielder is reportedly open to the move due to his ambitions to play in a top European league.

Vanaken can play in centre-midfield or in a more advanced attacking-midfield role. He has been a mainstay in at Belgian side over the past seven seasons, racking up 344 appearances in all competitions.

With Vanaken open to a move to West Ham this summer, Ex reiterated this and claimed that the club are preparing a second offer for the 29-year-old.

He said: “We believe that the club are talking to left-back targets today [Thursday] and also are preparing to submit another offer for Hans Vanaken.

“He has made it very clear that he wishes to join the club and this should play in our favour.”

TIF Thoughts on Ex’s comments…

West Ham have made six new additions in this summer’s transfer window, spending just over £111m, and with Club Brugge rejecting a bid of £10m for Vanaken, it will be interesting to see how high the Hammers will go with them already spending a significant amount.

With West Ham already having Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Flynn Downes as midfield options, it will interesting to see where Vanaken would fit in the side because he might not be keen to drop down from being a first-team regular to settling for a place on the bench.

However, Ex has claimed that he wishes to join the Hammers, which suggests the transfer could be a smooth one, so it will be interesting to see if he does end up joining the Premier League side.
