Dan Kilpatrick has been speaking on The Spurs Web’s Twitter Space about how Adama Traore is still liked by Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs’ transfer business has cooled down somewhat in recent weeks after a flurry of activity that saw them hand Antonio Conte new signings, although one of them in the form of Destiny Udogie, did head back out on loan.

The focus now appears to be on outgoings at Tottenham with Tanguy Ndombele having already departed and talk of Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks all tipped with summer exits.

If Spurs can manage to trim their squad down, some more incomings could be on the cards, including long-term target Traore.

(10:30) “I think that Adama is definitely one to keep an eye on just by virtue of the fact that clearly he’s admired by Paratici, he was a target in January obviously, and his contract situation means that there’s potentially a kind of bargain to be had.

Do you want Spurs to sign Traore?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

“I think obviously he would massively divide opinions, I’d be really interested to see it happen just because it would be kind of great to see what people made of him and what Conte more importantly could make of him.”

TIF Thoughts on Spurs’ prolonged interest in Traore…

It’s true that Traore has long been a target for Spurs, Conte and Fabio Paratici and tried extensively to land him in the last transfer window, only for the Spaniard to opt for a temporary move to Barcelona, something that certainly didn’t work out.

How well do you know where these Spurs signings came from? Take our quiz to find out! Firstly, where did Dimitar Berbatov arrive from?

The Catalonian giants had an option to sign him permanently this summer, something they clearly didn’t take up after his two-goal involvements during the second half of the season, which has left the door ajar for a switch to Tottenham.

It had been reported that Conte wanted to turn Traore into a wing-back if he had joined in January and he may have to accept that as his position if he does indeed make the move to a club playing Champions League football.

    Damn right I want him!.
You can practice the end product so much that you’ll be able to do it in your sleep, but going through players like a knife through butter? You cant teach that. He scares the **** out of me every time he gets the ball. I’ve been saying for ages we should buy him and for 10m? We lost more than that on Gil.. who cost us 25M plus Lamela. What has HE done in that time other than show he is fitter than almost everyone during pre-season?
I honestly cannot believe we haven’t forgiven him yet for choosing Barca over us last year! IF that’s all that is stopping us!

When is Levy and the board going to sign another quality centre back, I have a bad feeling Levy will leave us short once again at the back. Every season they leave us short. Our defence isn’t good enough for the Premier League, let alone the Champions League.

Get Traore this time, opportunity is Now.
He is proven in EPL to terrorise defences.
Conte can fine tune him, to be an asset to our attackers of Kane, Son etc. And better than Emerson.
    GET TRAORE NOW.
