Journalist Dan Kilpatrick has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane was furious with Son Heung-min during the club’s recent game.
However, the home side managed to settle themselves and hit back with two goals in the space of ten minutes via Ryan Sessegnon and Eric Dier.
However, with the game still in the balance at the time, Son had a chance to help his side claim a third when he drove into the box and shot selfishly when he perhaps could have passed the ball to Kane.
Kilpatrick noted the moment, and wrote about it on Twitter, saying:”Kane furious with Son for refusing to pass after he drives into the box but opts to shoot (well over) with Kane unmarked at back post. Should be 3.”
Who will score more goals for Spurs this season?
TIF thoughts on Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Tottenham Hotspur…
Kane and Son are known for their excellent link up – having assisted one another for more goals that any other duo in the competition’s history – and so this lack of a connection will come as a surprise to some.
Incidentally, Kilpatrick wasn’t the only one to spot the anger coming from the Tottenham striker at his South Korean teammate. Indeed, Alasdair Gold also claimed Kane was ‘not happy’ with Son for his selfishness.
In the end, the indecent wasn’t too costly with Spurs adding more goals in the second half. But if they want to be at their best this season, Son may well have combine better with Kane next time around.
