Jordan Cronin has claimed on the Loaded Mag YouTube channel that Newcastle United have indeed made an enquiry over Callum Hudson-Odoi.

There has been a lot of talk around Newcastle’s inability to bring in attacking reinforcements this summer to help take the burden off the likes of Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin as the Magpies look to crack into the top 10.

Reports have suggested that a move for Goncalo Ramos could well be just around the corner with Fabrizio Romano claiming the club were in the process of preparing a proposal, but Premier League talents are also being targetted, including Chelsea ace Hudson-Odoi, who has been described as a ‘special’ player.

Cronin has indeed cofired that an enquiry has been made to Chelsea over the services of Hudson-Odoi and bringing him in on loan.

(1:49:00) “I haven’t heard about Pulisic but I have heard about Hudson-Odoi and there’s definitely been an enquiry lodged for Hudson-Odoi, whether that comes to fruition or not I can’t say, I’m not sure but it’s certainly a name that’s being considered by Newcastle.

Should Newcastle sign Hudson-Odoi?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

“They could still look elsewhere there’s still three weeks or so left of the window so Hudson-Odoi is one of the names they’re considering and nothing concrete, nothing to say that Newcastle will sign him, it’s just a name that’s under consideration.”

TIF Thoughts on interest in Hudson-Odoi…

It would make a lot of sense from many points of view if Newcastle could land Hudson-Odoi as there’s an obvious need for a right winger given how poor Miguel Almiron, Ryan Fraser and Jacob Murphy were in front of goal last season, so the Chelsea ace’s minutes would be rather consistent and would also not force the Magpies to fork out a transfer fee.

How well do you remember Newcastle's January transfer window? An easy one to start with: where did Newcastle sign Bruno Guimaraes from?

Newcastle’s need to work within Financial Fair Play regulations has been very well documented so being able to land someone of Hudson-Odoi’s ability and Premier League experience at such a young age would be a major coup for Eddie Howe.
