Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe and his staff are enjoying life at the club.

That is according to Keith Downie of Sky Sports, who was speaking to This is Futbol about the latest news from St. James’ Park.

Howe was appointed as Newcastle manager as a replacement to Steve Bruce in November 2021, with the club languishing in 19th in the Premier League, five points off safety.

However, a stunning turnaround in results, led by the former Bournemouth manager, meant that the club’s relegation fears were quickly put behind them, with the Magpies finishing 11th come the end of the season.

And Downie states that Howe and his staff are “loving it” at Newcastle at the moment, with the head coach’s family moving up to Tyneside in the last week.

“I know for a fact that Eddie and his team are loving it up here.

“Eddie’s family have just actually moved up here this week I believe or certainly in the last week.

“So that shows that, you know, he’s fully committed to the cause.”

TIF Thoughts on Downie’s comments

We believe that Newcastle fans will be delighted to hear that Howe is enjoying life on Tyneside as it stands, with the manager’s appointment being something of a tremendous success with the way things are going at the club currently.

The Magpies finished fourth in the form table for the latter half of last season, suggesting that with a crack at a full campaign, Howe might be able to achieve something special with this Newcastle side.

Therefore, we believe that PIF should be doing everything they can to keep Howe happy at the club for the time being, with the current head coach completely changing the atmosphere around the club since his appointment in 2021.
