Mark Goldbridge has claimed that Antony is a player that wants to join Manchester United in this summer transfer window.
Manchester United are keen on signing Antony in this summer transfer window, but his current club, Ajax, have their price tag set at £84m if a club want to lure the Brazilian away from Amsterdam before the transfer window ends.
Antony has previously worked with Ten Hag, and last season under the Dutch manager he was in impressive form, after finding the back of the net 12 times and assisting 10 times in all competitions, in 33 games.
Despite United still being somewhat far off Ajax’s estimation for Antony this summer, Goldbridge spoke on The United Stand YouTube channel and claimed that both the player and Ten Hag are keen on reuniting ahead of next season.
(10;38) “We know that Antony is a player that Ten Hag wants, we know that Antony wants to come to Manchester United and unfortunately we know that Manchester United do not want to pay what Ajax want, maybe this is all part of the game Id still say 50/50 on Antony,” Goldbridge said.

United have brought in three new players this summer, but they are yet to strengthen their attack, which is why they have continued their pursuit of Antony, but if they are not willing to up their price for the 22-year-old winger, then the deal does not look likely that it will go through.
Antony was particularly impressive in the Champions League last term for Ajax, he registered six goal contributions in seven games, which is one of the main reasons why the Dutch club values him so highly because he can perform at the highest level.
The chances of United signing Antony in this window are getting increasingly small, because the Dutch club have already seen Lisandro Martinez leave, so they might not be keen on letting another one of their key players leave, unless a significantly large fee is offered.
