According to injury specialist Ben Dinnery, Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes could be back on the pitch in around 2-3 weeks.
With Brendan Rodgers’ side finishing eighth in the Premier League and reaching a Europa Conference League semi-final last season, the club will be eager for their best players to be back out on the pitch as the club look to push higher up the table this season – particularly without the distraction of European football.
The 24-year-old was brought off in Leicester’s 1-0 pre-season victory over Sevilla in July, with the former West Bromwich Albion loanee stating he had an issue with his knee.
And Dinnery told the Premier FPL Injuries YouTube channel that he expects Barnes to be back out on the pitch within 2-3 weeks, based on the suggestions being made about his knee injury.
He said: “This was a slight concern when it happened. It was initially played down by Brendan Rodgers; he said he had spoken to Harvey Barnes and he said it was fine, and the medical team were fine.
“Harvey Barnes actually stated, ‘I was on the pitch, I took a bit of a knock and the knee felt unstable,’ and that’s why he was replaced against Sevilla.
“Now, that issue there, that could be a multitude of different things, but with regard to a potential return-to-play time, we’re looking at around about 2-3 weeks.”

We believe that Leicester fans will be delighted to hear that Barnes could be back on the pitch potentially before August is out, with the winger being such an integral part of Rodgers’ team and their successes.
The Burnley-born star scored 11 goals and provided 14 assists in 48 appearances last season according to Transfermarkt, suggesting that the Foxes’ chances of scoring goals are improved greatly when he’s on the pitch.
And therefore, we believe that the club will be desperate for Barnes to be firing on all cylinders again soon as the club look to battle their way back into the top six of the Premier League table this season.
