Image for Leeds United: Rodrigo left buzzing after Stuart Dallas injury boost emerges

Leeds United forward Rodrigo was left delighted on Thursday afternoon after images emerged of Stuart Dallas nearing his comeback from injury.

The Whites defender’s season came to an early end having fractured his femur back in April in the defeat against Manchester City.

But on Thursday, the 31-year-old was captured back in training at Thorp Arch as he gave the photographer two thumbs up, with another image showing the defender running.

Amid the poor 2021/22 campaign and Dallas’ injury issue, Jesse Marsch and Victor Orta brought in a new right-back in the form of Rasmus Kristensen.

But it now seems the Danish defender could have competition on his way for the spot at right-back, with Dallas seemingly in the early stages of his active recovery at Leeds’ training centre.

And Rodrigo took to Instagram to share his delight with the development, as he shared two of the images and captioned his story: “Love to see that!”

TIF Thoughts on Rodrigo’s comments…

We don’t think Rodrigo will be the only one at Leeds who will be buzzing to see Dallas return given he has been such a big part of the Leeds squad over recent years.

Will Dallas take back the starting spot at right-back?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Dallas’ form perhaps got caught up in what was a dismal campaign for the Whites last season, however, the Northern Irishman showed during the 2020/21 campaign what he is capable of, with eight league goals and two assists.

So if Dallas can return and provide Kristensen with some competition, perhaps Marsch will have a selection headache on his hands over the starting role at right-back.
