YouTuber Conor McGilligan has claimed that Leeds United still need to sign some more players, but fears that no deals will be completed by the time the transfer market shuts.

As we now enter the final stages of the summer window, the Whites can be relatively content having made a reasonably good start to the Premier League season.

Helping with that form have been the recent arrivals of players such as Tyler Adams, Marc Roca, Brenden Aaronson, Luis Sinisterra and Rasmus Kristensen.

Despite that, some will feel as if more players are needed if the club are to be at their best across the remainder of their league campaign.

With that in mind, McGilligan has expressed his concern that it seems unlikely any deals for a striker, midfielder, or a left-back will be signed.

Speaking on the One Leeds Fan Channel prior to their midweek draw with Everton, he said: “Still no rumours, no nothing, unfortunately on signings. And, for me, it’s an absolute requirement, nothing short of that, it’s a necessity.

“Leeds United just have to simply get some options in, or an option in up front. I think we still need another midfielder – obviously, that’s not going to happen. I’d love a left-back, but beggars can’t be choosers.”

TIF Thoughts on Leeds and their transfers…

Leeds have seemingly been on the hunt for a new left-back all summer but are yet to bring a new man in. Indeed, Pascal Struijk has had to fill in at times as a full-back, and after a ‘wretched’ recent display, it’s not hard to see why an alternative option is wanted by McGilligan.

On top of that, with Patrick Bamford already suffering with fitness issues, just as he did last term, the club may well be a little light up top without a new striker signing.

What’s more, McGilligan also believes another man ought to be added to the midfield, but with just over a day remaining in the transfer window and no majorly credible rumours regarding any new arrivals, he may well be right to be pessimistic.
