Journalist Joe Donnohue has revealed that manager Jesse Marsch was left constantly ‘incensed’ during Leeds United’s most recent match.
In their midweek Premier League game, the Whites played host to Frank Lampard’s Everton hoping for a win in front of a packed Elland Road.
However, things didn’t get off to the best of starts for Leeds as the Toffees took a 1-0 lead into the break thanks to Anthony Gordon’s well-taken goal.
After that strike, and shortly before the break, the Whites’ manager seemed unable to hide his rage – as noted by Donnohue.
Indeed, the journalist took to Twitter to say: “Elland Road all very bad-tempered now. Marsch incensed by seemingly every decision. Koch sends one over the top of Pickford’s crossbar from range.”

TIF thoughts on Jesse Marsch and Leeds United…
It certainly did seem to be a heated affair, with a number of fouls leading to several yellow cards. In fact, trusted journalist Phil Hay commented on this, too, noting the ‘proper needle and bad blood’ that was apparent during the clash.
Perhaps Marsch was annoyed by Everton’s willingness to ‘time-waste and frustrate at every opportunity’ even during the first half, as noted on LeedsLive.
Incidentally, this isn’t the first time Marsch has cut an angry man on the sidelines. Earlier on in the season, during the 2-1 win over Wolves, the American ended up in a conflict with Bruno Lage.
All in all, it certainly seems as though the Leeds United boss wears his heart on his sleeve – though he’ll have to be careful not to overstep the line.
