YouTuber Joe Wainman has claimed that striker Che Adams would ‘add something’ to the Leeds United squad, amid rumours linking the Whites with a move for the Scotland ace.

The Sun has claimed that Adams is firmly on Jesse Marsch’s radar this summer and that the Whites are hoping to secure a deal worth around £10m.

The Southampton forward managed to score eight goals alongside making three assists in all competitions last season, but even without witnessing Adams reach those heights on an individual level, Wainman believes he would benefit the squad at Elland Road.

Wainman said: “I like the signing, I’m gonna put my stall out now. I think it would work really, really well. I think he would add something to this squad, improve the squad.

“£10-15m, it’s a no-brainer for me.”

With just a month left until the summer transfer window closes, Leeds are yet to solve their goalscoring problem. Last season, they managed to score just 42 goals in the Premier League last season – a tally bettered than all but four clubs.

Of course, this season, a fully fit Patrick Bamford could improve those numbers, but after missing 30 games last term, is he really a reliable option? Before the transfer window closes, Marsch must find an answer to that question.

TIF Thoughts on Che Adams…

When it comes to availability, Adams is an ideal forward to have in your side. The Southampton man didn’t miss a single game through injury last season, as he has proved to be a reliable option at St Mary’s.

As of right now, he remains a Southampton player, but Adams may well see any admiration from fans like Wainman turn into interest from the club as the weeks go by and Leeds’ search for a striker continues.

However, making a deal happen for a cut price may be fairly difficult this summer, considering the fact that Adams’ current contract doesn’t expire until 2024. So if Leeds or any other club want the striker, they will likely have to match Southampton’s asking price.
