YouTuber Joe Wainman has claimed that Jack Harrison is someone who needs to be on the pitch at all times for Leeds United.

Harrison has had a flying start to the Premier League season, starting in all five games, where he has chipped in with four goal contributions, helping his side pick up eight points in the month of August.

The English winger was heavily linked with a move away from Elland Road, with Newcastle United tracking his progress, but the Magpies have had two bids rejected from Leeds for their winger.

With Harrison having such a positive start to the season, Wainman spoke on the JustJoe Football Show and claimed that he should always be on the pitch as he can ‘create something out of nothing’.

He said: “I think he needs to stay on the pitch all the time. He’s someone who looks like he could create something out of nothing, a little bit like Sini. He’s just come on leaps and bounds, for me, has Jack Harrison, I’m such a fan of him right now.”

TIF Thoughts on Wainman’s comments…

Jesse Marsch opted to bring in Luis Sinisterra this summer, and with him playing on the left wing, there could have been question marks over the future of Harrison, but the American coach accommodated them both in the recent game against Everton, with the new signing grabbing his first league goal for the club.

Leeds had Patrick Bamford, Joe Gelhardt and Daniel James on the bench against the Toffees, and despite all three of them coming on, Harrison kept his place on the pitch, which supports what Wainman has claimed regarding him staying on the pitch in order to maximise their attacking threat.

However, with Leeds having three games in eight days, it will be interesting to see if Marsch monitors the winger’s involvement in the upcoming fixture against Brentford.
