Leeds United are now being linked with a potential move for the South Korean forward Hwang Hee-chan amid the final days of this summer’s window.

This has been suggested by the insider Dean Jones who has been writing for Ranks FC’s Patreon page about the Wolverhampton Wanderers’ ace.

Jesse Marsch’s men have been linked with a number of forwards over the summer like Martin Terrier and Arnaud Kalimuendo who has subsequently signed for Rennes.

And now, less than a week until the window shuts, Leeds are yet to find a direct alternative to the injury-riddled Patrick Bamford who is currently watching from the sidelines.

However, Jones believes the Wolves forward could potentially be that man with Marsch known the 26-year-old from their time together at RB Salzburg and Leipzig:

“Hwang is being linked to Leeds and that’s a nice one to imagine. Can definitely see Marsch having a big say here and we have seen how well players like Adams and Aaronson have done. Marsch knows about Hwang from his RB days,” wrote Jones.

TIF Thoughts on Jones’ comments…

Marsch has certainly seen some of the South Korean’s best form in his career with an impressive return of 16 goals and 24 assists in just 46 appearances (via Transfermarkt).

Is Hwang better than Dan James?

However, the 26-year-old has struggled somewhat to find his feet in England with a modest return of five goals and one assist in his 33 Premier League appearances.

With reports linking Daniel James with a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur, the Wolves forward could be a useful option for Leeds with the versatility shown to play across the frontline.

And although his returns in the Premier League have not been ground-breaking, Marsch’s recruitment has shown early signs of optimism so perhaps he could help find Hwang’s best form from their days in Austria.
