Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that there is an obvious interest from Leeds United in Che Adams this summer.
According to reports, Leeds are showing heavy interest in signing Adams during this transfer window and are reportedly lining up a £10m bid, but it is thought they are short of his valuation.
Adams was left on the bench for Southampton in the opening fixture of the Premier League as Adam Armstrong was given the nod up top against Tottenham Hotspur, so this could be an indication he might be out of favour this campaign.
Whilst speaking with GiveMeSport, Jones claimed that Ralph Hasenhuttl didn’t want Adams to just walk into the side by leaving him out at the weekend, while Leeds are one of the clubs that are interested in him.
He said: “Well, he [Adams] just hasn’t really been a big part of their pre-season, and I think Hasenhuttl wanted him to know that he doesn’t just walk into that team while he’s wondering if he even wants to be there.
“I think that Leeds obviously like him.”

Leeds are on the search for a new striker this summer, and Adams could be a good option as someone who can provide competition up top for Patrick Bamford as he has a decent goalscoring record, chipping in with 31 goal contributions in 96 Premier League games.
And having seen reported target Arnaud Kalimuendo reportedly edge closer to a move to Rennes, perhaps it is time they switch to a more attainable striker.
It might be a deal that Jesse Marsch could get over the line relatively quickly, because if the Scotland international feels like he is out of favour and won’t be a regular in the starting XI at St Mary’s, he might be keen to force a move away before the transfer window ends.
However, he might not be given the nod at Leeds right away, especially if Bamford starts to find some goalscoring form, so Adams could struggle to get any sort of regular game time, and therefore it will be interesting to see how this pans out.
But it is apparent he has earned the praise of those who’ve seen his Scotland performances, with journalist Josh Bunting hailing the striker back in November after scoring against Denmark:
