According to injury specialist Ben Dinnery, Everton could have their star defender Yerry Mina back for their opening game against Chelsea this weekend after a minor injury setback.

After a tough end to last season where they narrowly avoided relegation, Everton will be hoping to start the season off with a bang and in order to do so, they will need all hands on deck, especially their most crucial players.

With this in mind, fans will be elated to hear that their star defender, Mina, could be back and ready for the season’s kick-off against Chelsea this season, as Dinnery believes he could return to the side after picking up a minor injury during the preseason.

Dinnery told the Premier FPL Injuries YouTube channel, “He did miss out actually last weekend with an injury but that’s believed to be minor. We are expecting Yerry Mina back on a training pitches ahead of game week one, so fingers crossed with that one”. (9:36)
