Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Wilfried Zaha wants to leave Crystal Palace in the next few days amid transfer interest.
According to a recent report in the Daily Mail, the Ivory Coast winger could well be on his way to a rival Premier League club before the transfer window shuts.
Indeed, the article claims that Chelsea are keen on signing Zaha – who has just one year left on his contract – amid their struggles to get a deal for Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang over the line.
While speaking about the rumours on the Chasing Green Arrows podcast, Jones claimed that Zaha is keen on a move away and could indeed be off to Stamford Bridge.
He said: “Zaha does want a transfer, so there is a potential that something happens there in the next few days.
“Chelsea, there’s the small potential at the moment of an offer. Arsenal haven’t done anything, Chelsea have considered it.
“They left it for a while – I think I mentioned this the other day – after getting Sterling, they went quiet on Zaha. But if Zaha’s going to move, it looks like Chelsea is the only possibility for him.”
