Leeds United target Mohamed Camara has now had his head turned by the interest coming from the Premier League this summer.

This has been suggested by the journalist Ryan Taylor who has been speaking on his latest YouTube video where he discussed the Whites’ transfer latest.

Reports suggest the Yorkshire club are in the race to land the 22-year-old midfielder this summer with the RB Salzburg man excused from their pre-season camp.

However, Leeds are not the only Premier League side interested in the Mali midfielder with Brighton & Hove Albion also believed to be in the mix.

With Kalvin Phillips now on the verge of his departure from Elland Road, Taylor believes there has been direct contact over the potential signing of Camara:

“His head has turned by the Premier League interest that is kind of been bubbling away in the background. Now, as I understand it, I don’t believe there’s anything concrete at the moment.

“Leeds have been in direct contact with his representatives to declare that interest in a move but they are juggling other targets as well.”

TIF Thoughts on Taylor’s comments…

It is growing increasingly apparent what Leeds’ transfer strategy is this summer with Camara another player who has previously worked under Jesse Marsch.

Do you expect Camara to join Leeds?

The 22-year-old made 42 appearances under Marsch for Salzburg across all competitions where he returned three goals and two assists (via Transfermarkt).

With this relationship with Marsch in mind, we will be interested to see whether this would see Camara sway towards a move to Elland Road with Brighton likely to offer a more attractive proposition in footballing terms.
