Celtic fans might be feeling a little concerned after seeing some footage of Joe Hart emerge from a pre-season friendly.

Over the weekend, Ange Postecoglou’s men played their second friendly of their summer trip to Austria as they drew 3-3 with Rapid Vienna.

Matt O’Riley scored the opener, while Kyogo Furuhashi and David Turnbull both got their names on the scoresheet for the Bhoys. However, one bad moment in particular may be cause for concern amongst the fanbase.

Indeed, during the first half with the score at 1-0, Hart looked to receive a backpass but failed to get it under control. He was then tackled with the ball quickly prodded to Bernhard Zimmermann, who slotted home the equaliser into an open net.

The footage was shared on Twitter and it does not make for pretty viewing if you are a Celtic supporter.

TIF Thoughts on Joe Hart and Celtic…

It certainly wasn’t an ideal way to concede, with the Daily Record liveblog of the match describing that moment as a ‘nightmare goal to lose’.

However, Hart did also show a glimpse of his best quality in the match, too, as he made a fine low save from an attempt that looked destined to fly into the corner of the goal.

In the end, pre-season is exactly where players will hope to rid themselves of any rustiness accumulated over the summer break and get silly mistakes like this out of their system.

Even so, some supporters may well be worried that this could be a sign of things to come.
