Journalsit Liam Keen believes Wolves star duo Ruben Neves and Morgan Gibbs-White will stay at the club this summer, but fans should be concerned if clubs come in with big offers which could cause Wolves to assess their options.

So far this summer the Midlands side has been quiet in the transfer market with just Nathan Collins coming in, while Fabio Silva has gone on loan and Romain Saiss has left on a free transfer with Marcal and John Ruddy,

However, two Wolves players who have been hotly linked with moves away are Neves and Gibbs-White, with the former garnering interest from Arsenal and Manchester United, while Gibbs-White has interest from Crystal Palace and Everton.

Interest in recent days has cooled and Keen believes while both players could stay, there is the chance that other clubs swoop in and if they were to offer huge fees for them, Wolves brass could be tempted as it would be hard to turn down.

Keen told the Express and Star Wolves pod, “My gut tells me they both stay and they both have a good season with Wolves, but it’s just really the intentions of the other clubs that should concern fans, really, because as I say, if one of them comes in with silly money that’s difficult to turn down, Wolves are going to really have to assess their options.”

TIF Thoughts on Keen’s comments…

While accepting big offers for the duo makes sense in terms of future recruitment and bringing players in, Wolves are not currently inked with many players and therefore if they were to now sell two important players they would need to move quickly to replace them, which could end very badly.

Replacing this duo will be very difficult as Neves has been one of the better central midfielders in the Premier League over the last few seasons, ranking in the 82nd percentile for non-penalty goals and the 87th for passes attempted.

Gibbs-White has limited Premier League experience but impressed last season for Sheffield United by picking up 13 goals and 10 assists in all competitions and could be set to feature for Wolves a lot this season with the injury to Jimenez.

It would not be easy if Wolves do intend to sell this duo, but considering they are not doing much in the transfer window right now, it is hard to see them impulsively making a decision that could harm their Premier League aspirations.

Will Neves and MGS stay this summer?
