ExWHUemployee has revealed that West Ham United are interested in signing Poland international Piotr Zielinski.
It seems as though the Hammers could well be in the market for a new central midfielder this summer, with Amadou Onana recently being subject to bids from David Moyes’ transfer team.
However, with the Premier League club’s valuation of Onana not matching what Lille want, it may be time for West Ham to look at alternative targets.
And according to Ex, head of recruitment Rob Newman has identified Zielinski as someone the club could try and sign in the coming weeks.
Taking to The West Ham Way Patreon page, Ex said: “Piotr Zielinski of Napoli, again like Onana at Lille, the price expectations are well off.
“Zielinski comes highly recommended to the club and Newman is keen to get this deal over the line.”

TIF Thoughts on Piotr Zielinski and West Ham United…
The 28-year-old, who was called ‘complete’ by Carlo Ancelotti, played 42 times in the middle of the park for Napoli last season across all competitions, showing just how valuable he is to the team.
In that period, he scored eight goals while providing five assists and clearly seems to have done enough to catch the eye and earn the recommendation of Newman at West Ham.
With 72 caps for Poland under his belt, as well as one Coppa Italia triumph with Napoli, it’s easy to see why the Hammers may well come in for Zielinski – especially if they can’t agree on a transfer fee for Onana.
Taking it all into account, this certainly looks like one to keep an eye on.
