Presenter Dan Lawless has slammed the design of the new West Ham United away kit for the upcoming 2022/23 season.
The club recently released the new strip, making the announcement on Twitter at the end of last week. However, it doesn’t seem as though everyone is so keen on the design.
Indeed, West Ham Fan TV man Lawless took to social media to express his own disappointment over the ‘bland’ design as well as the high price.
He wrote: “Apart from that little trim on the sleeves it’s so bland and boring, imagine dropping £65 on this.”

TIF thoughts on West Ham and the kit…
While Lawless may not like the new West Ham shirt design, if he’d kept his ear close to the ground, it might not have come as such a surprise to him. Indeed, club insider ExWHUemployee actually revealed that the kit would be ‘all black’ back in May.
It seems as though the minimalist design of the shirt has annoyed the West Ham Fan TV man – who is clearly not a believer that less is more – as he claims that the ‘trim on the sleeves’ is the only thing that gives it a little pizzazz.
The £65 price tag also doesn’t go down well, and that’s only for a short-sleeve option with no name on the back. Adding a name, as well as long-sleeves, will set fans back a whopping £90.
All in all, it seems rather likely that Lawless won’t be splashing the cash on this away shirt any time soon, and we wouldn’t be surprised if other Hammers fans felt the same.
