Presenter Dan Lawless has called Jesse Lingard’s latest Instagram message ‘tiresome’ amid transfer links to West Ham United.

With the midfielder now a free agent, his future has been subject of much debate for quite some time now. However, in a recent update from The Guardian, it looks as though the Hammers could miss out on their target.

Indeed, journalist Jacob Steinberg revealed that the former Manchester United man could now be heading to recently promoted Nottingham Forest as they are in ‘advanced talks’ with the player.

While all this is going on, the Englishman posted a cryptic message on his Instagram account saying: Anyone can want you, but the love hits different when someone actually values you.”

In response to this, West Ham Fan TV Man Lawless took to his Twitter account to call the behaviour childish.

He wrote: “I swear Lingard has never grown up. He’s a near 30 year old man who acts like he’s 14. If we do sign him he’s gonna have to deliver on the pitch every week. This is so tiresome.”

TIF thoughts on Jesse Lingard and West Ham…

Lingard’s behaviour has been criticised in the past with Rio Ferdinand once slamming the midfielder for dancing in the Man United dressing room ahead of a Premier League clash against Hull City back in 2017.

On top of this, some West Ham fans may have grown tired with the player’s off field antics this summer, as he has delayed for so long about deciding who he should join in the window – with West Ham holding a long term interest in the 29-year-old.
It certainly has been a real saga, and if he does eventually end up signing for the Hammers, expectations will be high with Lingard expected to deliver – just as Lawless says. Amid it all, this latest Instagram post doesn’t seem to have helped his reputation.
