ExWHUemployee has claimed that he has been informed that people within the club are hopeful that West Ham United can sign Jesse Lingard.
There have been continuous reports stating that West Ham United are keen on signing Jesse Lingard this summer, and David Moyes is currently waiting on the 29-year-old’s decision on where he will play his football next season after he impressed whilst on loan with them in the 2020/21 season.
Lingard did not feature regularly last season for Manchester United as he was heavily out of favour, he made 16 appearances in the Premier League for United but just two of them came from the start, and he scored two goals whilst registering zero assists.
With West Ham being linked to Lingard this summer, ExWHUemployee has claimed that those at West Ham are hopeful that he will choose them over competitors and it will be a major bonus for them if they can sign him.
“I spoke to the club earlier and they have not been informed of his decision yet but people within the club are hopeful that he will choose us. If this is the case it will be a major bonus for Moyes who has been determined to secure the player again,” Ex said.

TIF Thoughts on ExWHUemployee’s comments…
Although Lingard did not get anywhere close to regular game time for Manchester United last season, the season prior when he spent the second half of the campaign on loan with West Ham, he was in inspired form after he netted nine times and registered five assists in 16 Premier League games.
If Lingard signs for West Ham and can get anywhere near the form that he reached during his last stint with the Hammers, then it would be a massive boost for Moyes’s side in their hopes to push on and have a successful campaign next term.
