Journalist Dharmesh Sheth has claimed that you can’t rule Tottenham Hotspur out of doing any more business in this transfer window.
Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur have been active in this summer transfer window after bringing in six new faces to the club, spending just short of £92million, with their latest addition being long-term target Djed Spence from Middlesbrough, who impressed whilst on loan for Nottingham Forest last term, when he was named in the Championship Team of the Season.
Although the North London club have already been busy in this transfer window, they remain to be linked with several names that could be further additions to Antonio Conte’s squad, such as Pau Torres and Memphis Depay.
After Spurs have been one of the most active sides in this summer transfer window, Sheth spoke to GiveMeSport and claimed that he believes they have surprised everyone and they might still be looking to do some more business before the transfer window ends.
“I don’t think you can rule Tottenham out of doing any more business.
“Tottenham have surprised everyone, I think.
“If you’re a Tottenham fan, the ones I speak to, they just can’t believe how quickly they’ve done their business,” Sheth said.
Is this Tottenham's best ever window?
TIF Thoughts on Sheth’s comments…
With Spurs finishing fourth in the Premier League last season, it meant that they qualified for the Champions League and Antonio Conte evidently thought that his side needed some upgrading to compete in the competition, so he has opted to bring in a haul of news players that has largely increased the depth of his squad.
With the current expenditure this summer from the North London side, it might be a case that they have to let some players leave the club, to allow for space on the wage bill and perhaps get some funds in the door before looking spend any more money on new players.
