Journalist Pete O’Rourke has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur will be looking at another attacker and possibly another defender depending on departures.

Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur have already made five new signings this summer, and it does not look like they are stopping there, as Djed Spence is looking increasingly likely that he will become the newest face to join Antonio Conte this summer.

Spurs’ latest addition to the squad was Clement Lenglet on loan from Barcelona, who is expected to occupy the left side of the back three position this year under Conte, but this has not stopped the links of Pau Torres to the club as Conte might look to strengthen his defence even further.

Despite already signing five players this summer, whilst speaking with GiveMeSport, O’Rourke claimed that Spurs will be looking to bring in another attacker and potentially a new central defender, on top of Spence before the transfer window ends.

“They have had an interest in Paqueta in the past, but I don’t think he’ll be a priority now; I think they are looking at another attacker and possibly a centre back if players do leave,” O’Rourke said.

TIF Thoughts on O’Rourke’s comments…

Japhet Tanganga and Joe Rodon did not feature heavily for Spurs last season with the latter making just three appearances in the Premier League and Tanganga featuring just 11 times in the top flight, so Conte might be keen to ship them off this summer and they have both been linked with moves away from the club.

Torres has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs this summer, but with them already acquiring Lenglet and O’Rourke claiming that they want to bring in another attacker, one of the current defenders might have to find a new club before the Spanish defender can be introduced at the North London club.
