Phil Hay has been speaking about how much Leeds United would be looking for to sell Jack Harrison this transfer window.

The Leeds winger is said to be of interest to Newcastle United this summer with the Premier League outfit even lodging a bid on Wednesday. However, it is said to have fallen well short of the Whites’ valuation.

Reports have suggested that Leeds received a bid in the region of £18m, whereas they value Harrison almost double that and would only allow him to leave Elland Road for a fee of around £35m.

Hay claimed that Leeds and Newcastle’s valuations of Harrison are still very far apart as he discussed on The Phil Hay Show.

Is Harrison worth £35 million?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

He said: “At the moment though there doesn’t seem to me to be any real intent on Leeds’ part to sell him. I don’t think the numbers that Newcastle would be talking about would be tempting for Leeds.

“Newcastle seem to value him at kind of £20m-£25m, Leeds would want considerably more than that.”

TIF Thoughts on Harrison’s future…

While Leeds may well have accepted that Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha were likely to depart this summer if the right offers arrived, which they did, Harrison is a different story as without Raphinha he may well be set for a much bigger role at Elland Road.

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

It’s no surprise that Leeds are wanting such a premium for Harrison as he boasts a very good record in front of goal in the Premier League registering 25 goal involvements in 66 starts, so this will surely test Leeds’ resolve and determine how much they want Harrison to be part of Jesse Marsch’s project if the Magpies come back in with another offer.
