Fabrizio Romano has claimed on The Action Network YouTube channel that Everton and Frank Lampard are still keen on Morgan Gibbs-White.

Everton looked to make their second signing of the summer last week when they lodged a £25 million bid for Gibbs-White, who enjoyed a stunning season in the Championship last term registering 20 goal involvements.

However, that offer was deemed not satisfactory by Wolves and thus, was rejected swiftly and the Toffees are still yet to return with a second bid, although fans shouldn’t worry as the club are still interested in Gibbs-White, according to Romano.

The reputable Italian journalist has been speaking about Everton’s continued interest in Gibbs-White.

TIF Thoughts on Everton’s interest in Gibbs-White…

It may appear to be a rather left-field signing for Everton to make as the ‘fantastic’ midfielder is very much unproven in the Premier League, having started just 10 league games, but he would provide versatility across the pitch which would certainly be helpful for Lampard moving forward.

Also, the fact that he’s young and English also fits the profile of players Lampard is wanting at Everton this season having handed Anthony Gordon the infamous number 10 shirt, hinting at a larger role, and also have been tipped to sign Levi Colwill from Chelsea.
