Journalist Liam Kennedy has claimed that it is a really positive step that Newcastle United have appointed Daniel Eales as their CEO.

It was recently reported that Premier League side Newcastle United have appointed Daniel Eales as their Chief Executive Officer, as they have been without someone in that position since October when Lee Charnley left the role.

This appointment of Eales could be seen as the final piece to the puzzle, as it was announced last month that Dan Ashworth has begun his duties as Sports Director of Newcastle Football Club, which essentially now means that PIF can partake in the role that they initially intended to, and not cover these other areas.

With the introduction of Eales as CEO at Newcastle, Kennedy spoke on the Loaded Mag NUFC YouTube channel and claimed that it is a really positive step and it is a step in the right direction.

TIF Thoughts on Kennedy’s comments…

Now that all the predominant roles behind the scenes are filled at Newcastle, this now feels like the start of something at the club and they can kick on in terms of bringing more new talent to the squad this summer after they have announced three new signings so far.

The Magpies have been linked with several players this summer, including Youri Tielamans and Jack Harrison, so it will be interesting to see how Eales can have an impact in terms of getting these players in the door before the end of the transfer window.
