Leeds United are still expected to make one new addition to bolster their attacking options this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer specialist was speaking on the Que Golazo YouTube channel on Monday to discuss the latest comings and goings in the market.

Jesse Marsch’s men have made a reasonable start to their pre-season efforts in Australia, with one win and one defeat to their name across their two outings.

However, they have excelled in the transfer market, with the Yorkshire side looking to act quickly to replace both Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips.

A host of players have come through the doors at Elland Road in the early weeks of the window, however, Romano believes Victor Orta is not done just yet.

He said: “I see Leeds signing one more player – one more striker, I would say. They already signed many players, we have to mention that Radrizzani and Orta did many, many deals this summer.

“So they just need maybe something in [the] attacking position and this will be the last one for Leeds this summer, probably.”

TIF Thoughts on Romano’s comments…

We have been really impressed with Leeds this summer. The reality of losing your two best players could have been a difficult one to accept, but it seems the Whites were prepared.

Have Leeds replaced Raphinha & Phillips well?

With Raphinha having topped Leeds’ goalscoring charts for last season, it is essential the Whites keep adding to Marsch’s options up top.

Having brought in around £96m for both Raphinha and Phillips, it could have been easy for the Whites to spend big on two individuals to replace the duo.

But it seems Leeds are looking to spend that money wisely with a number of additions worth around £20-30m, and a striker to provide Patrick Bamford with some competition could be the cherry on top of the cake for this summer’s window.
