Journalist Pete O’Rourke has claimed that Leeds United might be looking to bring in another winger in this summer’s transfer window.

Leeds have already brought in six players to the club this summer, but Jesse Marsch might not be looking to stop there after Raphinha recently left the Premier League side to sign for Barcelona.

Jack Harrison has also been linked with an exit from Elland Road, with Newcastle United showing heavy interest in his signature.

Despite Leeds already signing Luis Sinisterra this summer, O’Rourke claimed to GiveMeSport that they are interested in signing another winger – especially if current wide-man Harrison also departs the club before the transfer window ends.

He said: “I wouldn’t rule it out, Leeds moving for another winger. They’ve got the speculation surrounding Jack Harrison’s future as well, so they’ll be looking to ensure that he doesn’t leave.”

TIF Thoughts on O’Rourke’s comments…

Leeds have been one of the most active sides in the Premier League this summer, as they have spent just over £95m, but have still made a profit after seeing Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips leave the club, so Marsch might be keen to bring in some more new faces to help deal with life without two of their top players.

It would come as a bit of a surprise if Marsch was to let Harrison leave the club in the same transfer window as Phillips and Raphinha, but if he was to part ways, then it would almost certain that the American coach would bring in at least one more winger to the club before the end of the window.

And given their end to the previous season, you would imagine Marsch will do whatever it takes in the transfer market to avoid another relegation scrap this coming term, but whether Leeds can steer clear of trouble without Raphinha and Phillips remains to be seen.
