Leeds United supporters should expect the arrival of an exciting forward this summer once the sale of Raphinha is confirmed.
This is according to Dean Jones, with the transfer guru discussing the latest transfer developments on the Ranks FC Patreon page.
The future of the Brazilian winger is still very much up in the air, with no real closure as to which club he will be playing his football for next season.
It does seem apparent he will not be playing at Elland Road; however, Barcelona’s recent developments seem to have put Chelsea’s bid under scrutiny.
With the 25-year-old expected to depart this summer, Jones believes the Whites will have their eyes on a new attacking alternative who can come in and fill the potential gap left by Raphinha.
He wrote: “Once Raphinha’s departure is confirmed I think we should expect an exciting new attacker, and Leeds also plan to sign a new centre-forward.”

The Brazilian had an impressive 2021/22 campaign, having netted 11 goals and provided three assists in the Premier League, and certainly played a significant role in their survival.
It is interesting to see the approach taken by Victor Orta this summer in his attempts to replace Raphinha, with Brenden Aaronson already through the doors.
And with Jones expecting another two attacking players, it seems Leeds are not just hedging their bets on an expensive direct replacement. Instead, it seems Leeds are looking to improve across their frontline and not depend solely on one individual.
