YouTuber Joe Wainman has urged Leeds United to sign either Arnaud Kalimuendo or Martin Terrier in this summer transfer window.
Kalimuendo has been on the radar of Leeds United throughout the majority of this summer transfer window, but Paris Saint-Germain have put a halt on proceedings because the 20-year-old has been impressive during pre-season for the French side.
Another attacker to be linked with a move to Leeds United is Martin Terrier, but he might be a more expensive option for Jesse Marsch, as they could have to pay up to €40m (£33.5m) if they want to acquire him this summer.
Seemingly reacting to this development, Wainman took to Twitter to urge the Whites to sign either Terrier or Kalimuendo before the transfer window ends.
He wrote: “Right, get Kali or Terrier asap now.”
Do Leeds need to sign new striker this summer?
TIF Thoughts on Wainman’s comments…
Leeds are in serious need of a new attacker this summer, as their top scorer in the Premier League last season with 11 goals, Raphinha, has left the club, and either of Wainman’s suggestions could be seen as decent alternatives.
Terrier would be a good option for Leeds after he scored 21 times in Ligue 1 for Stade Rennais last season whilst adding four assists, but he still has three years remaining on his current contract with the club, so this mixed with his impressive goalscoring form could make him a very expensive player if the Whites want to get their hands on him.
Kalimuendo, meanwhile, netted 12 times on loan at Lens last term, and being just 20, not only could he fill the goalscoring void left by Raphinha’s departure, but he could also ease the pressure on Patrick Bamford to stay fit while being an even longer-term prospect than Terrier.
