Leeds United have every intention of keeping Jack Harrison at the club this summer, but interest from both Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur means that this cannot be guaranteed.

That is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who was speaking to GiveMeSport about how the remainder of Leeds’ transfer window is shaping up.

Jesse Marsch’s side have already endured a chaotic window so far, with the club welcoming six new arrivals, as well as three senior departures as of now.

The highest-profile moves of the club’s window have been the sales of arguably their two biggest assets, with Kalvin Phillips departing for Manchester City, whilst Raphinha opted to leave for Barcelona, with the duo leaving for a combined total of around £100m.

The Whites have added players such as RB Leipzig and United States midfielder Tyler Adams, fellow American and Red Bull Salzburg attacking midfielder Brenden Aaronson and Colombian winger Luis Sinisterra from Feyenoord.

And now they could have a fight to keep winger Harrison on their books, with Tottenham Hotspur thought to be interested in the winger, whilst Newcastle are expected to make another bid for the 25-year-old, with Marsch’s side looking for around £35m to consider a sale.

Romano doesn’t think Leeds will sell another player this summer, but says the possibility cannot be ruled out.

He said: “I think it’s not easy. I think Leeds are happy with the team they have right now and they have already sold Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha.

“I don’t see them selling one more player this summer, but never say never. It depends on the proposal but, as of now, Leeds want to keep the same team.”

TIF Thoughts on Romano’s comments…

We think that Leeds fans will be relieved to hear that Romano doesn’t believe that Harrison will depart this summer.

It has already been a summer of major upheaval and it would probably be in Marsch’s best interests to keep some of the club’s consistent performers this summer.

We believe that Harrison has an extremely important role to play at Leeds and the club will be desperate for him to stay ahead of the new campaign.
