Journalist Conor McGilligan has claimed that the possible transfer of Layvin Kurzawa could help Leeds United ‘level up’.

According to French outlet Media Foot the 29-year-old who currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain has been offered to Leeds by his agency CAA.

And with Leeds potentially in need of a new left-back this move could make a lot of sense. Certainly in the eyes of McGilligan, a deal for Kurzawa would represent Leeds going for a more ‘Hollywood’ type of transfer.

While speaking on the One Leeds Fan Channel, the journalist explained: “If we are to go to that level up, Kurzawa is definitely one of those.

“And he is under that sort of Victor Orta Hollywood signing, isn’t he? So it will be fascinating to see what happens there. But yeah, I think it’d be a decent addition.”

Another name that has been tipped to make a possible move to Leeds this summer is Charlie Taylor – who is currently with Championship outfit Burnley.

When you compare him with Kurzawa – who has won Ligue 1 on four different occasions with PSG – it’s not hard to see why McGilligan refers to this sort of ‘Hollywood signing’ as a way to ‘level up’ for the Premier League outfit.

With all that in mind, a move for the 29-year-old would certainly leave some fans pretty excited, but it remains to be seen just how genuine Leeds interest is – only time will tell.
