Leeds United fans will be left incredibly impressed after footage emerged from Thorp Arch of a stunning training ground volley.
Posted on Instagram by Mateo Joseph Fernandez, the ball is controlled in expert fashion before being smashed home, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance. It is the type of goal that those at Elland Road will dream of seeing in the Premier League next season.
They don’t have to wait too long for the season to get underway now, either, with the campaign kicking off as soon as August 5, before Leeds play against Wolverhampton Wanderers on August 6 to kick off their season.
Jesse Marsch will be hoping to see his side get off to the perfect start by defeating Wolves on the opening day, and sending a statement to a club in a similar position, in the process. They’ve certainly made improvements this summer – signing six new players; now they must take advantage of a good summer.
One thing that is for sure, though, is that Marsch would love nothing more than to see Leeds’ work and wonder goals from the training ground replicated in domestic action.

TIF Thoughts on Leeds United..
With six new arrivals coming in for a combined cost of £97.78 million this summer, Leeds will hope to have done enough to avoid a relegation scrap in the coming season. They’ve shown their ambition to do so this summer. The goal must now be to get off to a good start in the forthcoming Premier League campaign, which begins against Wolves.
However, there may another youngster in the mix for some game time this season with Fernandez demonstrating his skills in training which will surely have caught the attention of the Leeds fanbase.
